My BEd Journey 💞

 

 Today we celebrated the annual day of St. Goretti s School. We the student  teachers were in pink sarees. Throughout the day, we were engaged in various duties. We reached the school by 8.45 am. We helped in arranging the chairs in the auditorium. Later , we helped Sr Georgena and Febi teacher for distributing trophies and cash prizes for the students. After noon, we were incharge of ice cream distribution. Students were over crowded in front of the ice cream room- 8C. We had to keep them in lines and to maintain discipline. Some of us were controlling the students, others were distributing ice creams and some other were counting the money. After the ice cream distribution I could enjoy the performances of the LP and UP students.

 Our teaching practice was started today. I have allotted St. Goretti H. S. S for teaching practice. We reached there at 9 am. Anulekshmi from Physical science is our leader and Emi from Social science is our assistant leader. After prayer, we met the Head Master Sr. Acqina at the office. She gave us the instructions to be followed there. Also duties allotted to us. After signing our attendance , we met our respective optional teachers. I met Sonia teacher. She allowed me to enter the class and interact with the students.I had 4 th period in 9 B. Since they already studied the first subunit Diameter and perimeter of the chapter Circle measures I started the new sub unit area. First I gave motivation to them.Next I divided them into 6 group.Also gave name as Diameter, Perimeter,Radius, Centre, Circle,Area. To check previous knowledge I gave activity card. All students participated actively. Next I presented the concept of area of a circle with the help of 2 models.

 

 

 The events of the third day were organised by team INSANIYAT. The first session of the day was named Arangu kali.

 On the second day the teams presented news letters which were displayed on the college noticeboard and it summarised the events of the previous day.
